Abstract: | The research aims to determine the relationship between Academic Procrastination and emotional self-regulation in a sample of students from the School of Psychology at the PUCE See Ambato. quantitative study was performed with an exploratory, descriptive and correlational scope. He had a total of 290 psychology students both races clinical and organizational. EPA results indicate that 58.3% of participants procrastinate moderately (M = 8.41 / 9 points). Furthermore, the ATPS reveals that 61.0% of students show moderate procrastination, compared to 16.2% high presence of academic procrastination. It also shows the increased presence ERQ Emotional Suppression (M = 16.26/16 points). There is also a low positive correlation between Academic Procrastination and Emotional Self-regulation (r = -.292). The tendency of students to the postponement of academic activities (13% and 16%) is associate academic level of satisfaction. The implications of these findings in the study of existing problems are analyzed. |
Description: | La investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación existente entre la Procrastinación Académica y la Autorregulación Emocional en una muestra de estudiantes de la Escuela de Psicología de la PUCE Sede Ambato. Se realizó un estudio de tipo cuantitativo, con un alcance exploratorio, descriptivo y correlacional. Se contó con un total de 290 estudiantes de psicología, tanto de las carreras de clínica y de organizacional. Los resultados del EPA indican que el 58,3% de los participantes procrastinan de manera moderada (M= 8.41/ 9 puntos). Por otra parte, la ATPS revela que el 61,0% de los estudiantes muestran procrastinación moderada, frente a un 16,2% de presencia alta de postergación académica. Asimismo, el ERQ muestra mayor presencia de Supresión Emocional (M= 16.26/ 16 puntos). Además existe una correlación baja positiva entre la Procrastinación Académica y la Autorregulación Emocional (r= -.292). La tendencia de los estudiantes a la postergación de las actividades académicas (13% y 16%) está coligada al nivel de satisfacción académica. Se analizan las implicaciones de estos hallazgos en el estudio de la problemática vigente. |
